The Peasant Pie from The Royal Peasant Pub in Athens, Georgia is a great comfort menu item for those looking for comfort food for the fall and winter season. The menu item contains onion, beef, potatoes, Guinness, and puff pastry. It comes out piping hot, so be careful in trying to take a bite at first. The beef and onion are extremely soft and chewy and almost melt in your mouth. The stew itself is thick and savory, with just enough seasoning to not overpower the palate. The puff pastry perfectly complements the stew in adding flaky texture and slightly dulling the flavorful components of the stew.
